Text message inspiration :P

23 years of life have thought me enough to know friends are precious! :) And I am thankful to have best of the lot! One winter day, one of friends forwarded me a text message - 'If you have to convert me into non-living thing, what would it be?'. I casually answered cloud/star or swing. I was asked 'why?' and I had good time in hand so I replied with a poem ;). It was liked! So, here goes a silly cheers to our friendship and all the friendships in the world! :)

I like the rain drops
But they could slide off
I also like fresh crops
But they too will wither

I like the wind too
But its not here to stay
And I like blooming flowers
But only in certain seasons they sway

So, its the clouds
Which can follow me wherever
Or it could be starts
Which keep shining forever

It could be moon too
But it hides sometimes
Ans so next is swing
On which sitting I can make rhymes! :)

In search of innocence - in the wise mighty mountains!

Heya!

Aren't these pictures just so beautiful? And when you are actually there, you try to just take it all but no time is enough!
Shekhavaas Campsite - in the lap of the nature!
Sundarsar - highest campsite!

During 2015 summers I went on a trek in Himalayas in Kashmir region with my awesome friends. After a year of 9 to x (x varies from 5 to probably 11!) it was high time we all had a good break and what better than a hike in the nature - Himalaya calling!!! We went via IndiaHikes to Tarsar Marsar, beautiful and serene lakes lying in almost untouched Himalayan regions. (For those who want to go trekking: http://indiahikes.in/tarsar-marsar/ ).

Heavy downpour trek - on the way to Lidderwat - representing Quantium ;)

And a bright day - Lidderwat campsite
Sundarsar - still comprehending its beauty!
The land, the water and the air! All were so inspiring but equally tiring too.

With every taken step,
With each jump- stone to stone,
Under the starry sky,
And the moon that shown,

Through rolling deep valleys,
With each passing river and mountain,
With each blow of the winds,
And in the fog, rain and the sun,

Overlooking the snowy peaks,
where ocean of clouds never ends,
In search of peace and innocence we were,
Along with the treasure called friends.

Lidder river - 1st view!

Still a long way to go
Stranded outside Srinagar defense airport at 4:45 am
Peak into the lense! - All of us unbelievably tanned :|
The blessed nature was so inspiring, reminding you to be down to earth, keeping you humble and making you strong for all that comes your way. One of the co-trekkers shared with us how she finds the principles of someone in this nature, how she misses someone dear and finds them in the heart of nature.

I really liked the idea and could not help myself from writing about it. I actually sat down to write the above poem but ended up writing this (below) one. And then just today, while writing here about the trek, I completed the above poem.

In the mountains
In the snow fallen new
In the trees standing tall
I always see you

In the little green leaf
In the flat trails only few
Also in the ascends and descends
I always see you

In the ripples of a flowing river
In the wet morning dew
In the stability of Himalayan rocks
I always see you

In the clear blue sky
In the innocent clouds that flew
In the cluster of stars at night
I always see you

We clicked a lot of pictures and I can't help but see them again and again. So, here are a few more!:

Hi!!

Change is always difficult. Getting out of your comfort zone, going away from your people are I believe, one of the hardest things in life. Some people drift away with time and some choose to make effort to stay in contact. I am moving to US for education and I hope I stay connected to all the friends I have made in India. I wish all of them stay blessed and that we keep meeting over and over again. I wrote this poem for a friend when I was moving to another city. This poem pretty much sums up all that I have learnt about life but it does exclude things I learnt after this was written. May be I will write about it some other time!

Here it goes -

Don't ever risk life,
Don't ever let good people go;
Don't ever refrain from trying anything,
Dare to work hard, it will pay as you sow;

Don't ever take time for granted,
Run with the world but for yourself always keep some;
Don't ever wait for the perfect moment,
Because there just might never be one;

Don't ever think amything is out of your reach,
Believe in all your dreams and strive to make them true;
Don't fail to listen to your heart along with the brain,
Because, honestly, whats correct? None of them have a clue!

A poem for the poems :)

Poems poems
they will always be written
when i read them again
I myself will be smitten

Poems poems
purest worded form of expression
to weave the beautiful words
you can't resist the temptation

Poems poems
They will always be there
natural as they are
they will always be fair

Poems poems
honest mirrors of hearts
emotions overflow, lines end,
and that's where a poem starts!

5 तास syllabus खल्लास

This poem is inspired by my friend Prajakta Sawant (we call her Praj). She had a exam next day and was tensed about it. She was studying but was worried if she will be able to finish the syllabus. I was chatting with her and happened to write this funny poem:

Small things large happiness

Hiiee!

They say you should capture the happiness life gives in little things. I saw an innocent example of that and it made me very happy. So, I thought of writing it here!

In front of my PG, there is a small hut. There are two school going kids - a boy in UKG and an even younger girl. Everyday when I go to office, I see them going to school. I see the hurry in their house, their parents tying up their shoe laces, packing the lunch and then rushing them off to school. When I come back in the evening, I see boy studying under the street light in front of their home. I admire how these parents make it a point to send their kids to a nearby school with such a limited income and how kids come home and complete the studies. The girl had a proper school bag and everything but the boy used to carry his books in a bag made up of sack. I told this to my brother and he generously offered to give the kid one of the backpacks he had. I got it to Hyd and when I gave it to the kid, the happiness on his face knew no bounds! Everyone to whom I showed his picture to, had a bright smile on their faces too. He did not know much of Hindi/English and he could not understand my Telugu :P... so I did not get his Name but here goes the picture with his new bag!

They do express

  ©  They do express! ;)

One day I was just scribbling something on a notepad thinking about numbers and geometry. Suddenly I started looking for feelings and emotions in shapes and symbols and I started scribbling the smilies formed by different shapes and symbols as seen in the picture. One of my colleagues saw it and found it really geeky and cool. So, I just thought of putting it here...to store it.

The angle one has an acute and an obtuse angle but not a ninety degree angle...but may be its nose can be ninety degrees. I myself pointed out this one... if you feel any of them can any cooler/geekier, let me know through comments or mails :)

Next time I use any of these shapes or symbols, I will remember their face! :P
Right from the heart... theirs and mine! ;)
