Small things large happiness

Hiiee!

They say you should capture the happiness life gives in little things. I saw an innocent example of that and it made me very happy. So, I thought of writing it here!

In front of my PG, there is a small hut. There are two school going kids - a boy in UKG and an even younger girl. Everyday when I go to office, I see them going to school. I see the hurry in their house, their parents tying up their shoe laces, packing the lunch and then rushing them off to school. When I come back in the evening, I see boy studying under the street light in front of their home. I admire how these parents make it a point to send their kids to a nearby school with such a limited income and how kids come home and complete the studies. The girl had a proper school bag and everything but the boy used to carry his books in a bag made up of sack. I told this to my brother and he generously offered to give the kid one of the backpacks he had. I got it to Hyd and when I gave it to the kid, the happiness on his face knew no bounds! Everyone to whom I showed his picture to, had a bright smile on their faces too. He did not know much of Hindi/English and he could not understand my Telugu :P... so I did not get his Name but here goes the picture with his new bag!

They do express

  ©  They do express! ;)

One day I was just scribbling something on a notepad thinking about numbers and geometry. Suddenly I started looking for feelings and emotions in shapes and symbols and I started scribbling the smilies formed by different shapes and symbols as seen in the picture. One of my colleagues saw it and found it really geeky and cool. So, I just thought of putting it here...to store it.

The angle one has an acute and an obtuse angle but not a ninety degree angle...but may be its nose can be ninety degrees. I myself pointed out this one... if you feel any of them can any cooler/geekier, let me know through comments or mails :)

Next time I use any of these shapes or symbols, I will remember their face! :P
Right from the heart... theirs and mine! ;)

Wonderful thing!

Hi! Long time! I wrote a lot of poems offline but life kept me too busy to post them on here.

Few days ago, I was watching some Marathi daily soap in which elder member of the family was talking philosophical about relationships. He says "Correct amount of distance between two people is at times most important for a relationship to blossom. And one should be able to understand that distance and embrace it." I kind of agree with this and then started thinking more about it... and ended up writing this poem.

I am not sure how much sense it makes to the world but to me it makes a lot of it! :D

It's a child
It's fragile
It's a trillion drops of joy
It's scary
It's mystic
You still want it, it makes you fly

It's real!
It's yours!
It takes you on a spree!
It's happened
You're captured!
But it also sets you free!

It's at times unsaid
Just felt
with its uncertain existence
It's strong
It's so pure
Does not care for time and distance

It's patience
It's responsibility
And a king's share of understanding!
It takes two
It's one of a kind
It's the most wonderful thing

PS : The 'distance in the poem refers to physical distance but the one in above para refers to distance between the minds.

C ya!

To kgp weather!

Kgp weather is one of the most uncertain things on campus. I though before I leave, it deserves a poem too! :P

Kgp weather
A total surprise
Suddenly dark and cloudy
Just after the sun rise

Out of the blue, one random day,
Manages to downpour, the rains!
Chilling cold, hot and humid,
All 3 in just 24 hours kgp frames,

For all the off season rains,
For all of season cold winds too,
For all the climatic surprises,
kgp, I love you!

P.S. : Do comment! I would love to hear from you!

To beautiful minds of kgp!

With each passing day, with each farewell, leaving this place is getting so very difficult! For all the wonderful time, for all the madness and for all the personal growth here, I dedicate this poem to all the wonder people I met on campus! Each one has touched my life in unique way and have a share in what I am today! These friends are for life. May these friendships never fade.

I would like to thank everyone who made these years so wonderful. They definitely deserve a tailor made friendship poem! It is indeed an end of an era! :) :')

So, here it goes - right from heart to the paper -

When needed someone,
you were always there,
when felt depressed,
you made me see you care,

When I stood alone,
you stood along with me,
when needed a company,
I always found thee!

When I shared a secret,
I knew you would keep it,
when things seemed dark,
you would try and make them lit;

so many moments, craziness,
so many memories,
for all the wonderful times,
and remedies on all worries,

for all the love and for all the laughs,
before we part, a heartfelt thank you!
and just want you to know,
I am and will be always there for you too! :)

P.S.: Do comment! I would love to hear from you!
